ENKIRI ELITE RATING SYSTEM
The Enkiri Elite Fitness Equipment Rating System uses a 10 point scale rating system. The system is based on 5 separate categories with each category being worth a maximum of 2 points.
If the piece of equipment is perfect in a particular category then 2 points are awarded for that category. For each moderate to severe flaw half a point is docked from that category, for a range of anywhere from 0, to 0.5, to 1.0, to 1.5 points.
The total rating is based on the scores of all 5 categories added together. The 5 categories that are analyzed are:
Assembly Process
How easy or difficult is the assembly of the piece of equipment relative to other similar pieces? This category is graded based on difficulty as well as total time taken to achieve completion.
Build Quality
How heavy duty is the piece of equipment? Is it solid and sturdy or rickety and wobbly? Do I feel safe and confident while using it? Am I unable to push myself hard due to a subpar build or out of fear of potential equipment failure?
Features
What add-ons and features does the piece of equipment come with? Is there anything cool or unique? Is it missing something that should be standard?
Usage
How do the exercises feel? Are they smooth or cumbersome? Can the machine be adjusted to make things work well for different body types and sizes? What kind of movement variety is available?
Value
What overall value does the unit bring to the table for home gym owners? Is it multi-functional? Is it cost effective? Does it take up too much space for a home gym?
1. ASSEMBLY PROCESS
Honestly, this was about as straightforward as it gets. Out of the box, it took me maybe 15 minutes from start to finish. You certainly don’t need a degree in engineering to put this piece together, and nothing about the assembly felt confusing or overly tedious. Everything was packaged neatly and compactly, and there were no missing parts. For a bench that’s this heavy duty, it’s nice to see such a clean, simple setup. So, no surprises here! Just a simple and straightforward assembly - just how I like it. The BWB02 gets a solid 2 out of 2 for assembly.
Assembly Score: 2.0/2.0
Clearly labeled parts and instructions
Arrives in highly organized, compact packaging
Total assembly time was around 15 minutes solo
Simple and straightforward
2. BUILD QUALITY
Next up is build quality, and the BWB02 is pretty much a tank! It’s rated to hold 2,000lbs and it absolutely feels like it could. It’s solid, stable, and heavy in a good way. You can throw big weight around without ever having to worry that this bench is gonna fold in half on you (yes, I have literally had this happen) or leave you high dry, squirming underneath several hundred pounds of cold, hard steel.
That said, I do have one tiny complaint. Even when you secure it fully, there’s a bit of play in the rear upright (the post that the headrest rests on when you have the bench set in one of the flat or decline positions). Even when it’s fully screwed in it still wiggles around. This may be an OCD thing because it doesn’t seem to affect performance or stability of the unit at all, but I still feel it's worth noting.
Outside of that little hiccup, everything else about the construction is premium, and because that minor issue doesn’t seem to affect safety or usage, I’m still giving this category a full 2 out of 2 points.
Build Quality Score: 2.0/2.0
2,000lbs weight capacity
Solid, stable, heavy duty
A pleasure to lift heavy on
Small wiggle issue with the post the headrest rests on
3. FEATURES
Next up is the features, and this is where the BWB02 really separates itself from the pack. Most adjustable benches are just 2 sections: the backrest and the seat. But the BWB02 has a third section—and that is the adjustable headrest. That might sound like a minor point, but in practice it makes a big difference.
Adjustable Headrest
For example, if you've ever tried seated overhead presses on a bench with a long backrest, you know the struggle is real. With a long bench your head is locked in place by the pad, so no matter what you do you can't get your chin out of the way to execute a proper bar path for a seated press. So instead you are forced into a highly sub-optimal press pattern where you have to actively allow the bar to drift forward to clear the chin, essentially pressing from out in front of the elbows when the bar should be stacked over top of them.
So the cool part about the BWB02 is that with the adjustable headrest (which is actually adjustable to 9 different positions!) you can tilt that top section back a bit to get your chin out of the way while you are doing seated overhead presses. Or if you prefer you can even tilt it back completely out of the way and out of the equation altogether. Either way you prefer to do it, now you can get your chin out of the way of the bar and press cleanly with an optimal bar path overhead.
On the flip side, when you're flat or incline benching, you absolutely want that head support and the BWB02 gives it to you. So basically, it works as both a long bench and a short bench depending on how you set it up. That’s a feature you don’t see every day. With the ability to really dial in my setup, I have started hitting a whole string of personal bests on various seated overhead press and high incline press variations these last few weeks using the BWB02. This has only been made possible because of that 3-section adjustability aspect, so this is a pretty cool and high value aspect of this particular bench. And that definitely earns the BWB02 a solid 2 out of 2 for features!
Features Score: 2.0/2.0
Unique 3-section adjustability (seat, back pad, and headrest)
10 backrest settings, 9 headrest positions, 3 negative angle settings
Serves the dual purpose of being both a long bench and a short bench
Let's you really dial in the customization for the perfect setup on a variety of different seated presses, incline presses, and flat or decline bench presses
The adjustable head rest takes seated overhead pressing to the next level
4. USAGE & FEEL
When it comes to usage, the RitFit BWB02 adjustable weight bench truly delivers. Every section adjusts smoothly and seamlessly, and there a plethora of different options in terms being able to adjust each separate section, so you can get your body set up and locked in perfectly for a really solid variety of different movements.
The unit is intuitive and super easy to set up to your exact specifications, whether you are supersetting bench presses and dumbbell rows, or you just need the perfect setup for some heavy seated overhead presses. The BWB02 thing is highly customizable, adjust seamlessly, and it just feels good to lift on. It’s stable, secure, and hefty, and yet still surprisingly easy to move around thanks to the built-in wheels and handle.
Basically, this bench holds up across the board, and it’s clear it was built with real lifters in mind. It's actually amazing to me how many times you can buy a piece of lifting equipment, and then get locked in to use it for the very first time and everything about it just feels off. You're sitting there with buyer's remorse wondering if anyone ever actually tested this thing before they put it out on the market (probably not). But that is absolutely not the case with the BWB02! This thing is designed well and it will serve real lifters well. For overall usability, the BWB02 bench gets a strong 2 out of 2.
Usage Score: 2.0/2.0
Smooth and seamless adjustments
Highly customizable setups
Wheels make it easy to move and maneuver around
Designed for real lifters
5. VALUE
Now for the big question—value. At the time of this review, the BWB02 comes in at $459. That’s not cheap for a weight bench, but you are getting a legit 2,000lbs capacity bench, with commercial grade-level stability, and a unique feature set that lets it double as both a short and long bench.
So that's incredibly useful for someone training hard in a home or garage gym who needs a reliable, easy to use, and versatile piece. I've been making hella use of this thing lately, but I'll admit I was a little skeptical at first when RitFit told me they wanted to send me a new bench. I was kind of thinking the one I had from them before was already good enough, but I'm sure glad they sent me this new BWB02 because it is many permutations improved from its predecessor (which was already a solid bench).
So is the BWB02 worth it? If you just need a basic bench for occasional dumbbell work, or light flat bench pressing, and other things of that nature—probably not. But if you’re serious about training, and getting bigger and stronger, and especially if you’re limited on space and want one bench that can do it all? The BWB02 absolutely delivers. It is perfect for someone like me who trains using Conjugate because it gives me easy access to 10 different pressing angles right off the bat! Add in some pins lifts, grip width variety, my Buffalo bar, and my Swiss Bar, and I have 50 different pressing movements I can do right from this one single bench!
I’m going to dock it just half a point for the price, just because it’s not exactly budget friendly, but this is still a very high overall value product, and it gets a strong 1.5/2.
Value Score: 2.0/2.0
Incredibly useful for serious garage and home gym lifters who need one bench that can do it all
Great for Conjugate training
Not budget friendly, but still very high value overall
