This Workout Exposes If You’re Actually Athletic (TRY IT!)
by Alec Enkiri | 3/6/26
There are a lot of strong people who aren’t actually athletic. They can lift. They can grind. They can survive long workouts in the gym. But ask them to sprint, cut, jump, brake, and re-accelerate for an extended session, and things fall apart.
This is how I structure a Freak Athlete Field Day — a weekly session designed to test and build real-world athleticism. This framework blends: acceleration or max velocity work, constrained sprints, true change of direction drills, two-leg elastic jump work, and single-leg power.
Done correctly, this workout builds speed, elasticity, coordination, global athletic capacity, and fatigue resistance simultaneously.Â
RDL's are BETTER Than Deadlifts
(Here's Why!)
by Alec Enkiri | 1/23/26
Most lifters default to the conventional deadlift as their main posterior chain lift, but for the majority of them the Romanian deadlift (and other pure hinge variations) actually build more strength, more muscle, and have far better athletic carryover — with way less fatigue.
In this article, I break down why pure hinges like the RDL, good morning, and hyperextension should be the foundation of your posterior chain training.Â
I Got Strong… But Lost My Bounce
(The Athletic Trade Off No One Talks About)
by Alec Enkiri | 1/9/26
I spent 20 years becoming a powerful athlete, and I didn’t realize I was losing my real superpower the whole time: my bounce.
This article breaks down the athletic trade-off nobody talks about… and how I’m getting that bounce back without sacrificing the strength & power that took so much time and effort for me to build.Â
Because being strong is great. Being as powerful as a stick of dynamite is even better. But being strong, powerful, and BOUNCY? That’s a freak athlete.Â
